Step 7. Adding and managing users and roles

On the last step we'll add users, roles and statuses to the database.

Your actions:

  1. Go to Solution Explorer and click on the ASP.NET Configuration toolbar icon ();
  2. Move to the Security tab;
  3. Through link Create or Manage Roles, create 2 roles: Employee and Manager;
  4. Through link Create user, create the desired users and assign to them the appropriate roles.
  5. Go to Server Explorer → Tables;
  6. Right click the table Statuses and in the opened pop-up menu, select item New Query;
  7. Write the following statement in the command line:

    INSERT into Statuses (title, color) values ('Waiting', '#444444'), ('In progress', '#0000ff'), ('Done', '#00ff00'), ('Aborted', '#ff0000')
  8. Right click Solution Explorer and in the opened pop-up menu, select item Execute SQL.

That's all. Run the app and enjoy the result.
